Mixed Experience - Beautiful Rooms, Friendly Staff, but Disappointing Food
We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience overall. Let me start with the positives: the rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. However, we cannot overlook the disappointing dining experience we had during our stay.
Based on the positive comments, my expectations on food were high. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be quite disastrous. The food lacked taste and care, leaving us unsatisfied. Most disappointingly, the majority of the dishes were served cold (even pizza or a cooked tomato) in junky pieces which was a major letdown.
During my checkout, I expressed my disappointment regarding the food, and the response I received from the hotel staff was surprising. They mentioned that the menu during my stay was the weekly "all from the oven" menu, which seemed ironic considering that approximately 90% of the food we were served was cold. I found this information concerning, as it indicated a lack of attention to detail and quality control in the kitchen

Uno dei resort più belli in provincia di Agrigento. Immerso nella natura, scelto per il giorno del mio matrimonio. Ho avuto la possibilità di prepararmi in una delle stanze e fare le foto nel cortile. Abbiamo poi passato la notte lì, e l'indomani gustato l'ottima colazione ed anche il pranzo. Qualità del cibo eccellente, scelta del menù semplice e ricercata, tutto rigorosamente bio e preparato dalla cuoca bravissima. Staff super gentile, preparato e all'altezza per un posto del genere. Camera, piscina, bagni e ristorante dalla pulizia eccellente. Torneremo!

Superbe endroit. Un hôtel magnifique, où l’on se sent totalement à la maison. Les repas : juste magiques !!! On a adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel.

Stunning hotel, wonderful staff (particularly Sara) and excellent food. Rooms are big, well designed and comfortable. Not a bad word to say

Wir haben im Juni 3 Nächte hier verbracht und es war eines der Highlights unserer Sizilienreise.
Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen, perfekt zum Ausspannen, in Ruhe ein Glas Wein zu trinken (Weinauswahl ist auch fantastisch: Michele empfiehlt einem gerne ein gutes Tröpfchen und kümmert sich selbst um die Weinauswahl).
Die Nähe zu Agrigent (das auch sehr viele gute Restaurants bietet), schönen Stränden und dem Valle dei Templi ist optimal.
Unser Highlight war der Kochkurs mit Elena! Wir haben Einblick in die Philosophie der Unterkunft gekriegt, gesehen wie viel selbst angebaut und selbst gemacht wird.
Das Abendessen war dementsprechend sehr authentisch, qualitativ hochwertig und sehr fein. Wir haben an zwei von drei Abenden vor Ort gegessen.

El hotel es muy agradable, justo lo ue buscabamos algo con sabor y rural. La comida un 10, hecha con cariño y muy bien presentada.
El servicio es muy atento y con verdadero interés en ayudar y agradar. A tal punto que olvidamos una cosa en el hotel y buscaron una solución ingeniosa para que nos llegase a nuestro siguiente destino (garcias Michele)
La localización es a 20 minutos en coche del Valle de los Templos, pero merece la pena, nosotros llegamos por la tarde, dsfrutmos de magnifica cena y por la mañana desayuno y luego a ver los templos

Loved staying here! The property is beautiful and the staff are so friendly, exactly what we were hoping for as a base to visit the valley of temples. Their in-house chef is amazing and we loved the fresh ingredients and local dishes. The rooms are very clean and spacious. the whole villa is surrounded by nature and inside there are thoughtful touches everywhere to showcase the home grown ingredients and treasures of the region.

We enjoyed our stay here. Was close enough to the main sites in Agrigento but also secured enough to feel like a farm stays.
They have beautiful animals on site.
The rooms are simple but perfect for what we needed.
The restaurant catered really well for dietary needs. They were very careful to limit cross contamination.
The cooking class with Magdalena was also lovely. Highly recommend.

Fontes episcopi was one of the best hotel we have ever been to. Everything is great. The chaotic but charming design of the rooms and the commons, the fantastic garden, inhabited by cats, bees and Sicilian veggies. The price we paid for the room and breakfast was right. It is a real heaven. We fell in love with Magdalena, our Sicilian chief who cooked us FANTASTIC meals every day. The entire staff was honestly one of the best hotel staff we have ever had in Europe. The pool and its surroundings was a real plus.
But because nothing is never really perfect, there are still a few issues that should be resolved in order to approach perfection: 1) the Aircon in the room is very weak. Lucky us we were there in September and the weather was a bit cooler, because if the temperatures grow higher than 35degrees, there is no way the AC of our room would have been enough to keep to room chill enough for us. But this depends a lot on your ability to support hot temperatures. 2) even if the diner (not included in the price) was Fantastically prepared by Magdalena, we felt that one of the meal was honestly too simple for 45€pp. Simple food is amazing. But you still cannot ask 45€ if it is too simple. 3) we felt the bathroom in our room was a bit too simple for the standard of the hotel. The shower cord was short and not long enough to clean your entire body if you are tall. Apart for that, everything was perfect.

Un endroit bucolique où nous sommes très bien accueillis! Entre l’immense piscine, les chambres confortables, c’est sans aucun doute la table d’hôte et la cuisine typiquement italienne qui l’emportent ! Attablez vous pour un dîner sur la tardasse et laissez vous guider. C’est un plaisir pour les yeux comme pour les papilles !
