Um das echte Harlem zu erleben, gibt es nichts Besseres, als in diesem alten Haus zu übernachten, das in ein Hotel umgewandelt wurde. Das Haus ist im viktorianischen Stil erbaut und verfügt über vier Zimmer mit Waschbecken und altmodischem Dekor. Die Gäste teilen sich zwei Badezimmer (eines auf jeder Etage), und obwohl es weder Fernseher noch Klimaanlage gibt, fühlen Sie sich von Rene, dem Besitzer, wie Könige empfangen. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Apollo Theater entfernt. Um eine andere Facette von New York zu entdecken.

My go-to place in NYC. Extremely reasonable and very comfortable, this place is like stepping back in time. Beautifully appointed bedrooms with antique touches. You share a bathroom with one other room; bedrooms have private sinks. Easy access to subway and plenty of shops/cafes nearby.

The room was great! The bedding was comfortable, plush, and warm. The water pressure was great, which is a rarity in NYC. The host was kind and attentive. I only took 1 star off of service because we didn't need any so I can't really attest to it. We will definitely be returning again.

We stayed here back at the start of October and had an amazing stay. The rooms are clean and full of character, the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and if you’re lucky there will be live jazz on downstairs. The location is amazing as you’re only a few minutes from the metro and the price is about as good as it gets in Manhattan!

We had an amazing stay at the flophouse. The house has lots of character and the rooms are very well maintained and spotless. Rene is a great host and its always great to support independent business owners. We'll definitely be back when we're in NYC again!

First time Visited this place for a blues experience and it was literally discovery for me…
I’m totally impressed with the host, the brilliant musician Rene Calvo and the band. These guys make what they really love, not what is the most popular and very well sold… This place is the Hidden Heaven for blues / psychedelic music lovers…
